Has anyone on this list done business with Buttons4U.com? They are offering what they refer to as a "Victorian mix" of metal buttons... by the pound! It almost sounds too good to be true, so in the spirit of "caveat emptor", I thought I'd ask....
Cheers!

Having gone deaf from the resounding silence, I decided to go ahead and order a quarter pound of "Victorian mix" buttons. They are delightful! Not, perhaps, quite period correct, if one is a stickler for such things. But delightful, and useful, at a good price, and with fast shipping.

I had hoped someone would reply to your query. I have no experience at all with buttons. I am pleased to hear your report, however.
Congratulations!
Can you post a picture of some of the buttons that they sent to you?

Sure! The first photo is what a quarter of a pound looks like. It's hard to show the detail (I'm using an iPhone), but some of them are just beautiful; the ones with a lady's portrait on each button, the tiny metal flowers, etc. In the second shot, I added a couple of the pewter buttons I ordered separately to put on my next project (TV 432, in butter-yellow silk). I'm pretty pleased. Smile

Oh, how neat! Some of them really are quite lovely.
Again, congrat's! And a good report for the vendor, should anyone else be interested. Smile
