Hello Everyone!!!
I'm having one slight fitting issue with my bodice; the back neckline is not fitted to the base of my neck across the center back seam, it actually puckers a little out.
So, my thought was to increase the width of the seam at the center back, kinda like a dart, up at the neckline. My main concern with the pucker is that the standing collar won't fit properly.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you! _________________ Danielle Majors |

If the back neck is standing away from your body, then the front bodice length is too long. Take a tuck in the front shoulder, this will pull the back neck close to your body. _________________ Heather McNaughton

Heather, I'm just curious, but at the moment majors' bodice fits across almost all of the back excluding the middle top behind her neck. So, where would the rest of the tuck come from and what else would it change about the fit? (As a draper I can see the argument for forcing the extra material into the side back seams or possibly somewhere else so as to keep the CB straight, but I'm not clear on how a tuck would do that....) _________________ "The difference between clothing and fashion is a lack of peer pressure." |
