Dru,me too! Which is no doubt why I have so much fabric waiting to be used. But we have to get it when it's THERE,even if it takes a while to get back to useing it, right! Oh and while I 'm here...Heather is there any chance this game will ever get restarted [hint... hint...] This was before some of us [me for one] started posting. Mr. Green

Heather: how did you convert it to back buttons? I've been wanting to try that with TV432 but am not sure how to cut out the front piece (since it won't lay evenly along the fold line.

Me to! I'd love to see this re-started, it's a fantastic way of learning what was correct for each period.

Diana,

You don't need the center front on a fold, at least not the lining part. So you cut the front jsut like it is, only remove 1/2" to make it a standard seam. This dress then has a pleated frotn section which will hide the center seam.

If you are wnating to cut the front without the center seam, then you will need to cut in on a fold. Place the pattern so that the widest points are on the fold, and the narrow points in from the edge a bit. Then take off on the sides that amount that is being added to the center between the edge of the pattern and the fold.

Oh I see. I didn't stare hard enough at the pleated section.

"One gal has a built-in spyglass she's looking through at the handle end of her parasol! Wouldn't you love to find one of those on ebay?"

Dana, I love watching Poirot on the Biography Channel on Sunday afternoons. One episode he used his cane that way. I told dh - how cool is that????? But a parasol - even better!

Well I'm out of it cuz I don't know what you're talking about! Poirot.

'Course, only one TV in our house is connected to satellite and do I ever get to control the remote in a house full of testosterone? No, they're watching Barrett-Jackson or stuff like that. Dang, how many cars can you watch get auctioned off?

Poirot is an Agatha Christie character, around 1920s I believe.

Miss Heather,
Did you make this dress? Do you have a picture that you can share? I'd love to see how you made it!
Sincerely,
Miss Cindy

No not yet. I haven't sewn a dress in quite a while actually. I seem to never have enough time. I really need to start making time.
